About the company:
Our client, an ASX100 company with approximately $4 billion in revenue, is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Reporting Manager to join their Brisbane head office team. With a diversified portfolio of entities, this role will manage the group consolidation process, driving accuracy and compliance across financial reporting functions. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-calibre team within a fast-paced, top-tier business, renowned for its operational scale, well known brand and influence in the market.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the monthly consolidation process for the diversified group and half yearly / full yearly ASX statutory reporting requirements;
Manage the preparation of financial statements and key financial reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders, including Board and C-Suite;
Oversee statutory audits and liaise with auditors to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure a smooth audit process;
Provide technical expertise in interpreting and implementing new accounting standards, policies, and procedures across the group;
Collaborate with finance teams across multiple entities to provide guidance, streamline processes, and drive consistency in reporting;
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, speed, and efficiency; and
Partner with finance leadership to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and financial performance improvement.
Key requirements:
CA/CPA qualification with a strong technical accounting background; Big 4 experience highly regarded;
Extensive experience in financial reporting, ideally within ASX-listed or similarly complex, large-scale organisations;
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage relationships across diverse teams and business units; and
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
