We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our dedicated Financial Reporting team and work alongside other entrepreneurial and commercially minded professionals.
In this permanent, part-time/full-time position, you'll play a critical role in BlueRock's success and partner with some of Melbourne's coolest entrepreneurial business owners.
BlueRock Accounting is our original and largest team.
We are growing our dedicated Financial Reporting and Advisory service offering and looking for someone with 3+ years of financial reporting and/or external audit experience.
As a Financial Accountant at BlueRock, you will be working on a diverse range of clients such as large for-profit groups, foreign controlled entities, and not-for-profit organisations.
You will play a critical role in our team by reviewing and applying the Australian Accounting Standards within the preparation of Financial Reports.
In addition, you will be regularly involved in the preparation of other key tasks including accounting position papers, project management, and liaising with auditors and other key parties.
There is also an opportunity to work alongside our dedicated Corporate Finance team for buy-side and sell-side mandates, providing advice and assistance to deal teams.
What you'll be doing Preparation of General-Purpose Financial Reports (GPFRs) as Tier 1 & 2, single and consolidated groups. Review and application of the Australian Accounting Standards as required, including preparation of schedules. Preparation and reconciliations of Deferred Tax Accounting schedules. Preparation of Statutory Cashflow schedules. Project management to ensure appropriate lodgement and audit deadlines are maintained. Liaising with clients and external auditors. Minimum Requirements 2-3+ years of financial reporting and/or external audit experience. Experience in Acurri Financial Reporting is a bonus but not essential. A degree qualification and CA completion preferred. Exposure to reviewing Accounting Standards. Exposure to Deferred Tax Accounting and Cashflow Statement Preparation. Impeccable attention to detail.
