Sheffield Financial is looking for a new Financial Planning Consultant, reporting to the business owner and Senior Financial Planner. This is a new, client-facing role with a wide scope and salary bracket based on the individual's experience and ambition. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with clients on their wealth creation journey, in particular strategies to reduce financial risks through different insurance covers.

The Role We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a driven and proactive individual with strong communication skills who is KPI-driven, level-headed, and enjoys the balance of working both autonomously and within a team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for building relationships with new clients, uncovering goals, and working with a senior financial planner to create and implement a unique financial plan, supported with a full induction into the business and processes.
The role will focus on financial strategies to protect clients' wealth, including products and services based around Life, Total & Permanent Disability, and Income Protection covers.
Key Responsibilities Conducting meetings with new clientsBuilding strong, trusted relationships with clientsGathering financial details and looking at the bigger pictureProviding support in the financial planning processFacilitating the implementation of adviceCommunicating with clients via email and phone and responding to their inquiriesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and colleaguesConfidence in contacting and presenting to clients, resilience, and determination when dealing with challenging cases or B2B partnersA keen interest in the financial planning industry and a commitment to ongoing professional developmentProficiency in using financial planning software and Microsoft Office applicationsExperienced in problem-solving and identifying/setting up new ways of working—who sees a growing business as an opportunity to help shape its future and is not deterred by process gaps.Prior experience in a client-facing or financial services role, sales, or BDM—preferably in the financial planning or wealth management industry is also highly regarded.A candidate who sees the value in joining a small but thriving in a fun, macro-management organization, with an enthusiastic and social culture (We genuinely love what we do!)Company Values & Benefits: This role will assist you in gaining the skills, experience, and education to succeed in a career in financial planning.
