THE ROLE: The Finance Department is looking for an experienced Financial & Planning Analyst to join the team as a full-time member, reporting to the Commercial Manager for Sales and Distribution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Participating and supporting the preparation of the annual sales budget and rolling forecasts with detailed "what if" scenario analysis. Provide monthly analysis and explanation of deviations to Business Plan and Estimates. Preparing and managing the monthly reporting pack through to the business. Preparation of business cases for capital projects with detailed financial analysis. Playing a role within the integrated business planning process, by understanding and providing updates on: Cost tradeoffs of managing changes to plans Identifying profit implications of mix variance Evaluating the financial impacts of simulating business scenarios Analysis and interpretation of business trends from multiple sources. Ongoing development and production of variance analysis to highlight business issues and support development of corrective actions. Ad hoc analysis as required by the business. Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders within the business. ABOUT YOU: High analytic skills, with a passion for processing data and providing and presenting a synopsis from the data to draw meaningful business insights. High attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Flexible in the task role of this position and able to adapt to the changing nature of the business. You can juggle multiple priorities, keeping all stakeholders informed along the way. A self-motivated and proactive professional who can manage workflow and tight deadlines. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Advanced Excel with strong financial modelling. Intermediate PowerPoint & Word. Educated to a minimum Bachelor's degree level in a commercial subject and studying towards a professional qualification.
