The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the Financial Controller and Finance team as we strengthen our financial operations and governance in a listed company environment.
This role reports to the Financial Controller and will play a pivotal role in providing a high level of service to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence and outstanding leadership across the Finance team and wider NobleOak business.
Key Accountabilities Lead, mentor and develop a team of 4 direct reports, ensuring high challenge and performance, wellbeing and support, and continuous development.Foster a collaborative working environment, ensuring tasks are effectively actioned across the team to meet deadlines and departmental objectives.Financial OperationsManage and oversee the daily financial operations, including;Banking and associated controlsAccounts payablePartner and Reinsurance bordereaux and information flowsRecord keeping for all benefit funds and legal entities within the groupSupport the Financial Controller by taking responsibility for maintaining an effective and efficient financial operation activity for the business.Establish and maintain daily, monthly, quarterly processes, rhythms and timetables to ensurediscipline in completion of financial controlsdelivery of financial records in an accurate and timely manner to enable the FP&A Team and broader business to deliver effective financial managementan efficient, timely and accurate processing within a continuous improvement culture.ComplianceEnsure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Responsible for the monitoring framework and processes to ensure compliance of outsourced financial activities within the Strategic Partners.Support the Financial Controller in monitoring and enhancing the control environment across the business functions within NobleOak.Treasury and InvestmentPrepare cashflow forecasting.Manage treasury operations across associated investment activities, including;Monitoring investment assets to ensure compliance with the company investment policy and capital requirements.Supporting the Custodian, Investment manager(s) and Financial Controller where required to ensure investment management and governance requirements are achieved.Internal and External AuditInteract with the internal and external auditors, ensuring the timely provision of required information, addressing agreed recommendations and implementing improvements.Capabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Willing to roll your sleeves up, able to develop and execute your own strategies and understand the target audience and what messages are relevant and purposeful.Showcase confidence, capability and prioritising skills to navigate competing demands.Thrive in fast paced environment and deal with ambiguity, effectively managing the often-changing priorities.Couple a 'can do' attitude with a positive, friendly demeanour.
