This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly dedicated accountant, with an accounting qualification (degree, CA, or CPA) or commensurate training and experience of at least 3 years in a dynamic commercial environment, to join a successful Group as part of the Pearling Production Team working in a flexible environment with a supportive culture.
Based at our head office in Darwin CBD NT and reporting to the Business Unit General Manager with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer, the position will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks including:
Effective management of accounting functions and Business Unit financial systemsEnd of Year financials (including liaison with auditors) and management reportsInvoicingMaintaining the Pearling asset registerBudgets and rolling forecastsEnd of Year tax work papersEnd of Year R&D calculationsGeneral Ledger account reconciliationsOther ad hoc accounting tasks as requiredThe successful candidate will need to be fantastically organised, able to multi-task, work autonomously and in a dynamic team, prioritise work, take initiative, demonstrate flexibility and work under pressure adhering to deadlines.
Essentially, the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate superior knowledge and ability in working with Microsoft Office products and applications, internal database systems, and experience with large accounting software programs. Experience with using AX would be considered advantageous.
