Financial/Management Accountant

Reporting to a finance lead, your responsibilities will include:
Handle the preparation of the management accounts, including monthly P&L, cashflow forecasting, and balance sheet accounts.
Lead the month-end close including reconciliations, journals, fixed assets, pre-payments, and accruals.
Oversee the payroll process that is outsourced to an external provider.
Prepare income tax, PAYG, BAS, and FBT.
Manage annual budget and forecast preparation, and provide analysis of performance versus budgeted expectations.
Review Trust and Controlled Money accounts transactions and assist with annual audit.
Involvement in the training and development of colleagues in the finance team.
Your Skills:
CPA / CA qualifications are desirable, although candidates close to finalising their studies will be considered.
Strong preference for prior experience in the legal sector, or in a professional services firm.
Bring sound financial accounting expertise and have had involvement in the preparation of the annual budget & forecast process.
