The role
We are seeking a Financial Governance & Improvement Analyst to join our team in Perth.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinating and executing manual journal and reconciliation controls and reviews. Completing associated SOX workbooks for ELC and R2R controls assigned to governance. Liaising with external auditors for MRL at half-year and year-end. Assisting with updates and changes to MoA. Preparing papers for the Audit & Risk Committee (A&RC). Supporting financial governance processes, including managing minutes, responding to DQM inquiries, and addressing business queries. Preparing financial statements related to auditor remuneration and independence notes. Proposing and implementing innovative technological solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. What you'll need to succeed Demonstrate commitment to and alignment with company values. An understanding of financial systems and processes, with S/4 Hana experience being highly regarded. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner. Strong problem-solving capabilities, an improvement mindset, and high attention to detail. Leveraging available technology to drive efficiencies. Effective communication skills and the ability to support and collaborate with various stakeholders. Familiarity with financial regulations, such as accounting standards and SOX. Nearing completion or completed professional qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent). 3+ years of experience as an accounting professional.
