About the job:We are looking for a skilled and motivated Financial Data Analyst to join our team.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and financial metrics to provide valuable insights that drive business decisions.
You will utilise data analytics tools to deliver impactful visualisations and reports while collaborating with stakeholders to refine data definitions and enhance reporting processes.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial principles, transforming complex data into actionable solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse and refine financial metrics and data definitions.Assist in the development of datasets and data models alongside engineers and data modellers.Engage with stakeholders to design conceptual and physical user interfaces for dashboards.Support the testing team during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to resolve issues.Identify and highlight reporting-related risks and issues in collaboration with project management.Coordinate with technical, functional, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of financial metrics and dashboards.Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcases.Analyse large datasets to identify trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.Develop and optimise complex SQL queries and financial models to support business decisions.Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Qualifications: 5 + years of solid experience in business and financial data analysis.Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Python).Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers and modellers, to develop data models.Strong understanding of financial metrics, dashboards, and reporting.Familiarity with testing processes, including SIT and UAT, and resolving data issues.Experience working in agile environments, including active participation in agile ceremonies.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career and make a significant impact within our organisation and clients.
