That's the value of ownership!About the roleTeam & Opportunity: Supports day-to-day financial crime operations with a specific focus on governance and process improvement. This role will report to the Financial Crime Operations Manager and works closely with the entire Financial Crime Operations (FCO) team, including Financial Crime Detection and Financial Crime Investigations.Core ResponsibilitiesConduct operational activities relevant to the AML/CTF Program and other related policies and procedures.Support the FCO Manager in ensuring the smooth functioning of any management committees, by acting as an information and reference point.Organise and service meetings, including producing agendas, taking minutes, managing registers, and producing reports.Identify, prepare, and review cases for management, ensuring financial crime risks identified by the Financial Crime team and the rationales for recommendations are well articulated.Coordinate, track and report on any action items from committees, forums, or projects.Maintain effective records and administration, including drafting procedures, and ensuring that agreed actions are carried out.Work with the Financial Crime team to ensure completeness of processes and actions.Identify and implement continuous improvements across financial crime operations processes.Participate in formal and informal educational activities, including presentations, staff meetings and training programs related to AML/CTF initiatives and financial crimes prevention.Manage, provision and oversee system access for the team, vendors, or Administrators, including monitoring and reporting on usage.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Experience3 years+ experience in a related field in financial crime, financial services, wealth management or super.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organised, excellent time management, and strong with prioritisation.Experience in ongoing customer due diligence or enhanced customer due diligence requirements.Great knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering risk and related control procedures.Certification in AML/CTF e.g., ACAMS, is desirable but not essential.Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Well-developed written and oral communication skills with a strong customer focus.What you'll be responsible forDevelopment of Finance Strategy: Recommend improvements to optimize and improve financial performance and development of strategic long-term plans.Operational and Financial Reporting: Analyze financial data to prepare timely reports to support business decisions.Financial Modeling: Analyze data to create financial models that support planning and projections.Skills you'll needCollaboration: Works with others by being open, clear in communication and listening to achieve goals.Numerical problem solving: Works with numerical information and performs mathematical calculations to solve problems.Critical thinking: Identifies and synthesizes patterns and trends amongst various sources of information to reach a meaningful conclusion, perspective or insight.
