Supported by an Accountant and reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the role is accountable for day-to-day operations, developing and managing company budgets, overseeing payroll, accounts payable and invoicing, and leading on month-end reporting requirements.Key Responsibilities.Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure the timely, complete, and accurate preparation of financial reports and analysis to the Head of Finance, providing insights that support informed decision-making across the business.Budgeting & Planning Support: Assist the Head of Finance in leading the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with department heads to manage, monitor, and adjust the budget as needed throughout the year.Month-End Reporting & Accountability: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring that financial reporting is delivered on time and with accuracy to the Head of Finance, General Manager, and Founder.Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Team Development: Take ownership of all balance sheet reconciliations, conducting monthly reviews while coaching and developing the finance team to maintain accuracy and efficiency.Regulatory Compliance & Tax Management: Ensure that all regulatory compliance submissions, such as BAS, tax, GST, and payroll tax returns, are reviewed and filed accurately. Be responsible for satisfying all regulatory and legal obligations.External Audit & Financial Systems Oversight: Manage external audits by being the primary point of contact for audit-related inquiries. Oversee the company's finance ERP system, working with IT to ensure continuous improvement and strong system performance.Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and manage direct reports, conducting weekly WIP meetings and supporting their development. Collaborate with key stakeholders on cross-functional projects, fostering strong working relationships and promoting integration across departments.You are.You embrace creative challenges, using them to foster growth and development. You're known for making decisions that are guided by strong ethics and principles and you consistently strive to exceed expectations, creating lasting impressions through quality experiences. You hold a CA or CPA accreditation and have extensive experience in financial and management accounting. You have successfully led small teams and are skilled in analysing large data sets with advanced Excel proficiency.
