The Financial Controller is an integral business partner to the Retail Management team, providing financial analysis and strategic insight to assist in maximising the current and future returns of the portfolio.The role is a 2IC for the Head of Finance, Retail and has people management responsibilities.Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you will be doingManaging a team of divisional finance managers and property accountants, including overseeing staff development and training and attracting key talent to the retail finance team.Monitoring and assessing financial performance of the retail asset team on a monthly basis.Liaising with Asset Management, Investment Management, Funds Management and co-owners to provide insights into asset and portfolio performance and address ad hoc requests.Leading the delivery of all financial, management and statutory reporting requirements.Directly contributing to CFO updates, half yearly and annual reports including investor data packs.Overseeing the production of tenant statements and wash ups.Reviewing book value forecasts.Preparing quarterly and annual budget and forecast packs and presenting to co-owners for approval.Driving the asset and portfolio budget and forecast process.Overseeing the planning timetable and co-ordinating work tasks with the Portfolio Finance Manager and key stakeholders.Providing advice and resolution for technical accounting queries.Driving and participating in process and systems improvements.Actively participating in the due diligence process for acquisitions as required.What makes you stand outWe are seeking an experienced senior accounting professional, with relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with CA/CPA professional membership.
