We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our growing business based at our Head Office in Port Adelaide.

Role Overview The Financial Controller is responsible for the management of the Finance and Accounting services, including treasury and payroll, across the FPH Group. This includes supporting strategic decision making through financial analysis and ensuring the financial accounting and reporting obligations of the Group are met in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities Review financial and operational performance across the Group, providing commercial insights that support decision making;Manage financial close processes to ensure the accuracy of financial and operational data;Lead the Financial Accounting and Accounts team, ensuring high-quality service, staff development, and performance standards;Oversee the external audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and manage statutory and regulatory reporting requirements; andContinually review and enhance financial processes, systems and controls to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.About you Your skills and experience will include;
Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting or equivalent with a focus on Finance or Corporate Finance;Certified Practising Accountant (or C.A.); and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA);Excellent leadership skills, able to develop and communicate a clear strategy and direction and support employees to achieve organisational and personal goals;Experience and knowledge of accounting standards, acts, regulations, and professional standards relating to financial accounting and management practices;Well-developed skills in report writing, problem solving and analytical skills and presentation skills; andDemonstrate high level interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes in an organisation with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a changing environment, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial issues.Flinders Port Holdings know that people are central to everything that we do.
