Supplying to multinational and domestic businesses across the food, dairy, brewing, manufacturing, oil and gas industries.
The business is going through a growth period and looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller with the view to progress to a CFO in the future.
Your new role
The Financial Controller is responsible for providing timely and accurate processing of the financial, manufacturing and administrative information and to support the business with monthly reports, reconciliations and financial narratives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Collecting, reviewing and interpreting key financial data
Supporting the development and controlling of annual budgets
Producing monthly financial reports (see below), and other key performance metrics.
Support CFO with projects and focussed financial analysis.
Development and presentation of reports to management and other internal stakeholders
Identification and implementation of improvements to financial data management and reporting processes.
Monthly / Weekly Reporting
Preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports including financial performance and organisational KPI's
Generate monthly performance reports, including variance analysis against budget.
Ensure coding is correct, accurate and timely.
Provide relevant financial information to managers.
Investigate budget variances and provide explanations.
Providing commentary and analysis around the company's performance to the corporate management team
Financial Analysis
Perform ad hoc financial analysis such as assessing the profitability of projects or services.
Support key decisions with financial data and insights.
Monitor and report on Capital Expenditure projects.
Financial Operations, Systems, Processes & Controls
Conduct monthly reconciliations and be responsible for month-end close processes.
Prepare journal entries, including standing entries.
Support continuous improvement of financial systems and data.
Identify opportunities to optimise financial operations through system and process improvements.
Support and maintain finance management system infrastructure.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in accounting
5 - 10 years industry experience in Financial Controller position within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated high level leadership and communication skills within multi divisional business
Strong manufacturing and inventory accounting experience
Financial Leadership with a collaborative style working with your team & across multiple divisions.
Proficient with current Microsoft and business software systems.
Outstanding financial and management accounting skills to maintain reporting timetables.
CA/CPA Qualified or in progress
Experience in the development of ERP/SAP management systems
