Supplying to multinational and domestic businesses across the food, dairy, brewing, manufacturing, oil and gas industries.The business is going through a growth period and looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller with the view to progress to a CFO in the future.Your new roleThe Financial Controller is responsible for providing timely and accurate processing of the financial, manufacturing and administrative information and to support the business with monthly reports, reconciliations and financial narratives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIESCollecting, reviewing and interpreting key financial dataSupporting the development and controlling of annual budgetsProducing monthly financial reports (see below), and other key performance metrics.Support CFO with projects and focussed financial analysis.Development and presentation of reports to management and other internal stakeholdersIdentification and implementation of improvements to financial data management and reporting processes.Monthly / Weekly ReportingPreparation of weekly and monthly performance reports including financial performance and organisational KPI'sGenerate monthly performance reports, including variance analysis against budget.Ensure coding is correct, accurate and timely.Provide relevant financial information to managers.Investigate budget variances and provide explanations.Providing commentary and analysis around the company's performance to the corporate management teamFinancial AnalysisPerform ad hoc financial analysis such as assessing the profitability of projects or services.Support key decisions with financial data and insights.Monitor and report on Capital Expenditure projects.Financial Operations, Systems, Processes & ControlsConduct monthly reconciliations and be responsible for month-end close processes.Prepare journal entries, including standing entries.Support continuous improvement of financial systems and data.Identify opportunities to optimise financial operations through system and process improvements.Support and maintain finance management system infrastructure.What you'll need to succeedTertiary qualification in accounting5 - 10 years industry experience in Financial Controller position within a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated high level leadership and communication skills within multi divisional businessStrong manufacturing and inventory accounting experienceFinancial Leadership with a collaborative style working with your team & across multiple divisions.Proficient with current Microsoft and business software systems.Outstanding financial and management accounting skills to maintain reporting timetables.CA/CPA Qualified or in progressExperience in the development of ERP/SAP management systemsWhat you'll get in returnA highly competitive remuneration of $150,000 Plus SuperThis is a growth position where the natural progression will be to move to a CFO in 6-12 monthsWork in an environment where your opportunities for progression will not be held backExcellent Work Conditions and Benefits.What you need to do nowAt Hays, we value diversity and are passionate about placing people in a role where they can flourish and succeed.
