About the role Based at our Perth office, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to lead a team of four in overseeing financial matters for our WA, NA & TL Business Unit.
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing finance activities for our operating assets in addition to financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across the wider regional business unit.
Your work will directly contribute to the strategic direction and operational performance of the business unit.
You will work closely with the General Manager – Finance & IS, and other senior operational and finance leaders to establish strategic direction and deliver key objectives for the Business Unit.
As part of our finance leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of the WA, NA & TL Business Unit through strategic financial planning and analysis.
You will be integral in driving the division's financial success, collaborating with senior leaders, and implementing initiatives that positively impact the business.
Key Accountabilities include: Lead and manage all finance matters for Operating assets within the WA, NA & TL Business Unit.Analyse the financial performance of the business unit and its assets, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.Evaluate the financial impact of key business decisions and actions.Manage individual cost drivers and recommend actions to optimise financial performance.Oversee monthly performance reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.Lead the preparation of the annual budget, collaborating with senior finance leadership.Execute and manage the forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business goals.Implement accounting policies within the WA/NA/TL Business Unit, ensuring compliance and consistency.Serve as the divisional focal point for Group planning & reporting, facilitating seamless communication and integration.About you:You're a results-driven finance leader with a proven track record in managing financial operations across complex, multi-location environments.
With a strong grasp of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, you excel at translating data into actionable insights that drive business success.
Your excellent communication skills allow you to engage and influence senior leadership, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making.
You bring a wealth of experience in implementing accounting policies and financial systems, coupled with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for performance improvement.
You must be CA/CPA qualified, hold a degree qualification and or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
