Job Description Reporting to the Managing Director and leading a team of two accountants, your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.Providing detailed financial insights to the executive team and board.Managing cash flow, foreign exchange, investments, and project funding.Overseeing tax strategies and assessing financial risks and opportunities.Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls to protect company assets.Leading and mentoring the finance team to ensure high performance and development.Driving performance improvement initiatives to optimise costs and efficiencies.Supporting profitability through margin analysis and financial forecasting.Ensuring compliance for payroll, quality, and IT functions.Fostering a culture of respect, transparency, and commitment to quality. The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will possess:
CPA or CA qualification with proven experience in a senior finance role within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.Intellectual curiosity and analytical skills to understand the complexities of the business's operations and technical projects.Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with experience partnering with executive teams to drive business outcomes.A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost optimisation.
