Job Description

Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role that will impact all aspects of finance while also playing a pivotal role in improving and automating the financial, accounting, and reporting processes. This position requires a strong desire to succeed.

About the Role:

Oversee the preparation of monthly reporting (financial statements, KPIs)

Mentor and supervise the finance team to deliver service excellence

Manage workflow, month-end process, budgets, and deadlines across the year

Drive the delivery of project improvement initiatives

Maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation and filing systems are in place

Develop the financial strategy

Provide clear, concise, and insightful reporting across the business enabling key decisions to be made

Oversee/complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Ensure compliance with the law, regulatory, and company policies

Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organisation's operations

Analysis of financial data to identify trends, opportunities, & risks, & provide insightful recommendations to management

Reconciliation of sales and revenue recognition

Assist with tax reporting (BAS & GST) and audit preparation

Support decision-making on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks

Role Requirements:

Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.

Recognized Degree in Accounting. CPA is a strong advantage.

Flexible with the ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.

Ability to prioritise and manage high-volume workloads

Min of 4+ years experience in financial and management accounting

Proven knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and Corporate Tax

IT literate including advanced Office 365 skills; familiarity with CRMs and Employment Hero advantageous

Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., Xero, SAP)

Experience using ERP systems will be advantageous.

Bachelor Degree (Preferred)
