About the Role: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Controller will: Oversee and refine financial systems, processes, and outputs to align with our expanding operations in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Deliver high-quality, timely budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and governance protocols.
Spearhead technological transformation and process improvements to optimize efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Lead and inspire a high-performing finance team, building capability and fostering innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Manage financial operations, including accounts, cash flow management, and taxation compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Monitor and control costs, aligning with budgets and environmental factors to enhance profitability.
Establish robust forecasting, financial analysis, and decision-support processes.
Consolidate financial reports for diverse business units, providing analytical insights to senior management.
Lead year-end audit processes and ensure adherence to compliance and financial controls.
Develop and implement advanced financial systems and strategies to drive operational excellence.
Support tender responses, funding applications, and financial obligations, including acquittals.
Lead, manage and develop a cohesive finance team, enhancing technical and communication skills.
Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across jurisdictions.
The person/you: To be considered you will be a professional qualified finance expert with previous experience from within a medium to large complex organisation.
In addition the following technical skills are required to ensure role success: Proven leadership in driving organisational and cultural change.
Expertise in digital transformation and hands-on implementation of financial systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Workday/Adaptive).
Comprehensive understanding of financial management in Australia and international contexts (NZ/UK preferred).
Strong analytical skills, adept at financial analysis, forecasting, and business case development.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
You will play a critical role in leading a business critical finance operations.
