Details of the offer

Full time
Our client is an industry leader in ground engineering innovation, specialising in the design and construction of piling, grouting, and earth retention solutions. Operating out of a Gold Coast Head Office, they have a demonstrable track record in servicing clients across the Australian eastern seaboard.
Equipped with an extensive range of specialised ground engineering equipment, they offer versatile and robust solutions. Known as problem solvers, they take pride in delivering optimised engineering outcomes tailored to their clients' needs. Their track record of high-quality projects has been recognised through numerous industry awards, showcasing their commitment to excellence.
Due to succession planning and ongoing growth, we are now searching for a Financial Controller to help this highly successful business navigate their next horizon.
As the Financial Controller, your key objective will be to manage and oversee the organisation's financial operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This will include broad reporting, managing insurances, cash flow management, overseeing HR and payroll, as well as high level administrative and IT responsibilities.
Based in their Gold Coast Head Office, you will manage a small team of experienced professionals and report directly to the General Manager.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualifications preferred but not mandatory). Proven experience in financial management, ideally within the construction industry or a project-based environment. Familiarity with small to mid-sized business financial operations, with an emphasis on flexibility and hands-on involvement. Awareness of the financial challenges faced by smaller construction firms, such as tight margins and fluctuating project pipelines. Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, crucial for supporting multiple smaller projects. Strategic and proactive in identifying financial risks and opportunities, providing solutions that align with the business's size and scope. Willingness to be involved in broader business activities as needed, reflecting the collaborative nature of a smaller firm. Join a team of passionate and dynamic business leaders where your contributions will make a real impact on the company's operations and success. You'll play an integral role and have the opportunity to leave your mark on the organisation.
In return for your hard work, you'll receive a competitive salary package, essential tools of the trade, and enjoy a well-appointed workspace at the Gold Coast headquarters.
If you're ready to take the next step in your professional journey, apply today!
