The role provides strategic financial and economic advice to the Executive Leadership Team to oversee the finance management across all activities to assist the organisation to meet its objectives and ensuring the successful delivery of Community Plan Goals. The Financial Controller will foster, support and drive a culture of continuous improvement with a key focus on developing the accountabilities, skills, agility and capabilities of staff, whilst creating and sustaining a dynamic team that safeguards the integrity of Council and excels in the delivery of our customers' experience and brand recognition. The role will deliver value for all stakeholders in an ethical, social, and environmentally responsible manner. About you A well-respected professional, you ideally have knowledge of Local Government financial management processes and proven experience in managing financial management frameworks, programs and systems. You will bring a high level of drive and motivation to delivering services, while taking a common-sense and pragmatic approach ensuring best practice in financial management.
