We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our leading national FMCG fresh food manufacturing client based in Wacol, Brisbane.
This is a highly technical and hands-on role ensuring regulatory financial compliance, management & execution of the internal audit function, liaising with external tax & audit partners and striving for best practice.
Ideal Candidate: Be able to work in a detailed and disciplined way and have the ability to identify and see through process improvements and ensure the continued development of the team.
About the role: Managing a small team and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will see you performing a wide range of responsibilities and variety: Key responsibilities: Cash flow management and forecasting, including preparing and updating daily cashflow forecast Treasury management and facilitating drawdown from facilities Supervision of EOM close and reporting timetable Accounts payable management, including review and authorisation of supplier payments in terms of company policies Ownership of the General Ledger and associated month-end reconciliations Managing the year-end audit process, including preparing year-end files and supporting schedules and Statutory Accounts Preparation of supporting tax schedules and other supporting documents for tax professionals Review of management accounts and preparation of variance analysis Mentoring and developing staff Key skills required: Qualified Accountant – CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or ACAEW Can demonstrate commercial business acumen Strong technical accounting skills & experience eg audit and tax in Australia Have strong communication & reporting skills Is confident with financial & data analysis Stakeholder management On offer: Competitive salary package and benefits Opportunities for professional development A supportive and dynamic team For more information or a confidential chat, please contact Natasha Donaghy – ****** We will be assessing applications as they come in, so we encourage you to hit Apply Now and send your resume through to us as soon as possible.
