What you'll do:
As a Financial Controller in Aged Care, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the finance function. You will lead a dedicated team of finance professionals, fostering a positive work culture while ensuring that all processes are efficient and effective. Your expertise will be crucial in providing detailed financial input into ongoing planning and reporting activities. You will also take ownership of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Additionally, you will handle key operational responsibilities such as residential subsidy billing, investment management, bond/RAD reporting, and month-end completion. Your commitment to upholding organisational values and compliance with relevant legislation will be essential.
Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring roles and responsibilities align with their capabilities Identify and drive process efficiencies Provide detailed financial input into ongoing planning and reporting Take active ownership of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process Ensure timely and accurate reporting to all management levels Handle residential subsidy billing, investment management, reporting, and month-end completion What you bring:
As our ideal candidate for the Financial Controller position, you bring along your CA/CPA qualification coupled with previous experience in both residential and community aged care sectors. You have proven experience managing a team of finance staff. Your knowledge of Australian accounting standards and Australian NFP tax compliance requirements is extensive. You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in time and attendance data management, payroll or other client management systems. Your high attention to detail, hands-on approach, and ability to adapt quickly to new processes in a changing environment will be key to your success in this role.
