Financial Controller - Aged Care (3-month contract)Our client is seeking a highly competent Financial Controller to join their team in Adelaide. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure strong financial governance and effective internal controls across the organisation, meeting audit and other legislative standards. The successful candidate will have the autonomy and responsibility to make significant decisions, managing $70m of annual spend and $320m of assets. This role requires a professional who can develop appropriate corporate financial policies and procedures for the organisation.
What you'll do: Ensure strong financial governance and effective internal controls are in place across the organisationDevelop appropriate corporate financial policies and procedures for the organisationProvide expert advice on financial matters, particularly financial governance and controlsBe the principal point of contact for external bodies including ATO, external auditors, banking institutions and Aged Care Quality and Safeguards CommissionManage the Financial Accounting team in the provision of core services to/on behalf of the organisationOptimise Financial Accounting service provision through the development of financial accounting systems, processes and peopleWhat you bring: Relevant tertiary qualifications enabling membership to a professional accounting bodyInclusive interpersonal skills encouraging cooperation and support from othersProject and change management skills to undertake organisation-wide financial accounting projectsProblem solving, analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to negotiate with and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomesAbility to make independent decisions considering legislation, best practice, and political influencesWhat sets this company apart: Our client is a reputable organisation known for its commitment to excellence in all areas of operation.
