About usMoneycare Program is part of the Community Support Service network of programs and related services which aim to alleviate financial hardship by supporting those who are in hardship due to financial difficulties or crises, by gaining the increased capability to act independently and self-sufficiently.Primary Purpose of the role We are seeking a values-driven and dedicated Financial Capability Worker, who will sit under the mentorship of the Financial Counsellor to provide Financial Capability services that help eligible people to build longer-term capability to plan and make informed choices about their money in the future.
As a Financial Capability worker, you will learn to deliver non accredited financial education workshops to eligible people, and you will support eligible people with employment readiness through improving financial knowledge, skills and capabilities to assist them to achieve employmentWhat a day in the life will look likeDeliver financial education workshops with a strong focus on supporting people to build longer term capability by developing skills to plan for their financial futureCommunity members are assisted to access other support services and establish community supports if applicable We respect and value each person focusing on individual needs, considering all parts of life, building strong relationships, and supporting independence and participation without judgement.We work together with community members to build strong relationships and provide the best service.Accurate, up to date records and data is maintained for all community members in accordance with The Salvation Army standards and procedures.
