The FAS is a landmark reform that will provide financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs.About the Role:Reporting to a FAS Senior Assessor you will be responsible for drafting trauma informed victim recognition statements and coordinating victim recognition meetings. Some of your duties will include:Developing trauma-informed victim recognition statements acknowledging and affirming the experience of the victim in accordance with the ActUsing authoritative knowledge of the relevant processes to assess victim needs to coordinate complex victim recognition meetingsEngaging with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver recognition meetings, including venue logistics and travel arrangements.About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:Experience in direct human service delivery where there are sensitive and complex needs, working from a trauma-informed perspectiveCommitment to pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organisation and improved outcomes for Aboriginal peopleCommitment to trauma-informed practice, including an understanding of the victim services system and the ability to liaise effectively to improve victim outcomes.Qualifications/Requirements:A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in fields related to community and social services, social policy, social work, law, or public administration is desirable.How to Apply:Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
