We've crafted over 90,000 homes, ranging from first homes to luxury residences, all while maintaining the trust of our community – 1 in 4 customers referred to us by someone who believes in our commitment.The RoleAs a Financial and Tax Accountant, this pivotal role is responsible for statutory financial reporting, taxation compliance, and governance programs across ABN Group, ensuring the delivery of accurate consolidated financial statements, effective tax management, and compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in our Leederville office.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the preparation and compliance of statutory financial statements and tax lodgements, while ensuring the application of appropriate accounting standards and regulatory policiesAssist with the execution of tax positions for the lodgement of income tax returns, FBT returns, BAS, and other business servicesContribute to the development of income tax positions and Group tax planning.Support the execution of tax policy, particularly in relation to GST, excise, and indirect taxesSupport corporate secretarial duties, including share issues, annual reviews with ASIC, financial statement resolutions, and entity maintenancePrepare and lodge necessary forms and financial statements with ASIC and support the maintenance of company recordsContribute to key processes in accounting systems (D365) related to financial reporting and consolidationCollaborate with auditors during the external audit process, supporting auditors and ABN Group accounts teamsYouTo be successful in this role, you will have a strong foundation in financial accounting and taxation compliance, with experience working in large organisations with complex financial systems.
