Are you an accountant with a passion for gaining comprehensive experience in Financial and Management Accounting, as well as Internal Processes and Governance? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and grow into an effective assistant manager.
The role will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will initially be suited to the experience of the successful candidate, with the expectation of development and growth over time to become an Assistant Manager
Key Responsibilities for the position include: Assisting with month-end closing and subsequent reporting to internal senior management and the wider Sime Darby Group. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Aid the Finance Manager in quality and process improvements. Maintain the Fixed Assets Register. Coordinate External Financial Audits. Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Monitor, analyse, and report on project performance. Handle various other matters such as BAS, FBT, and insurance. Oversee and provide guidance to finance officers. The ideal candidate will: be motivated to continue their development in accounting and finance profession, and open to developing project and people management skills. be capable of providing value to a diverse group of stakeholders, including operations and Plant Managers, the Company CEO, Group/Corporate Finance teams overseas, Internal and External Auditors, and Group Legal and Tax teams. Candidates with less than 3 years of commercial experience of first-time movers from public accounting practice with CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) are encouraged to apply.
