Starting from $114K per annum plus Superannuation Do you have a passion for providing analytical, monitoring and reporting support? Council is seeking a suitably qualified Financial professional to join the Rates team in the role of Financial Analyst – Rates and Payroll. The successful candidate will support the Rates & Payroll team in achieving their reporting requirements for stakeholders, whilst working collaboratively and supporting the Principal Coordinator – Rates & Payroll.

The role of our Financial Analyst – Rates and Payroll includes :
Monitor & report on all financial aspects of Rates & Payroll, including SuperannuationExtract, model and analyse complex data, e.g., movements in Valuer General land valuations, IPART formulas, peer council comparisonsPrepare financial statements notes for Rates and PayrollReview calculations for complex payroll transactions in relation to back pays, superannuation, termination paymentsDevelop & implement rates and payroll procedures to ensure efficient & effective operationsCreation and maintenance of alerts and reports for Payroll & Rates for effective controlsTest & implement new processes as regulatory requirements changePrepare & submit Pensioner RebateWhat we are seeking in our new team member : Degree in Business / Accounting or CPA / CADrivers Licence – C Class NSWLocal Government experience (desirable)Proficient in knowledge of Accounting Standards, Code of accounting Practice, Financial Regulations and relevant legislations on Rates and PayrollBenefits of working with us : Competitive rates starting from $114K per annum plus Superannuation paid weekly, opportunity to earn a Performance Bonus (Up to 2% annual salary) + Organisational Bonus (up to $2K).
