Opportunity to be part of government sector on a long term basisInclusive, collaborative & flexible working environmentAbout Our Client We are partnering with a key department within the NSW Government to find a skilled Financial Analyst for a 12-month temporary role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, with the potential to extend based on performance and business needs.
Job Description Prepare and update performance reporting and monthly forecasting analytical models to support an effective review of business performance and ongoing forecast processes.Identify, provide recommendations and implement agreed reporting and process enhancements to ensure desired business outcomes for stakeholders are achieved.Assist with the preparation of the annual budget to facilitate the allocation of funding in line with the corporate goals and Government objectives.Assist with advice on complex financial and related issues in the form of briefs, reports and papers to respond to Departmental requests for information.Establish and foster productive consultative relationships with stakeholders and clients to support and meet performance reporting requirements and forecasting analytical models.Provide analytical support services to respond to client requests and support business case development and decision making.Identify and deliver finance and related initiatives in partnership with other stakeholders and teams to build performance that supports people and business objectives.The Successful Applicant Relevant degree in finance or accounting with CA/CPA qualification.Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (experience with SAP or similar is a plus).Strong analytical skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting preferably within government sector.Proficiency with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, and an aptitude for identifying insights and trends.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.A proactive approach to driving process improvements and enhancing financial systems.What's on Offer 12 months temporary role with high potential to go permanent.Flexible working arrangement.
