Your new role...

As the Financial Analyst, you will be partnering closely with the Commercial manager where you'll take on a pivotal role in developing and maintaining financial models crucial for decision-making processes. Your key duties will be analysing financial data, forecast trends, and provide actionable insights to drive strategic initiatives. This role is project-based, focusing on delivering top-notch financial models.

Key responsibilities include:
Develop comprehensive financial models to support various business functions, including forecasting, financial planning, and analysis. Analyze and interpret financial data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and risks or opportunities for the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and validate assumptions used in financial models. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the potential impact of different decisions. Generate accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Monitor and evaluate financial performance, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement areas and revenue opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes affecting financial models and forecasts. Assist in preparing ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required. About You! A professional qualification, (CFA, CA, CPA or MBA) is preferable but not essential Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with large datasets, What-If Analysis tools, Pivot Tables, Macros. Proven work experience as a Business/Financial Analyst or similar role, demonstrating expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately. Solid understanding of financial principles, concepts, and accounting practices. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in financial data. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen interest in continuous improvement and process optimization.
