Our client is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to lead the financial planning and business partnering to improve financial performance across a large geographically dispersed organisation.
Being a standard commercial role, you will lead the Management Accounting Team, overseeing Planning, Analysis, and Forecasting, and facilitating Business Partnering initiatives. This will cover a three-year budgeting and forecasting strategy to drive overall financial performance and improvement across the organisation. Leading the financial business partnering function, the role will support group executives and business leaders and be responsible for providing expert strategic and commercial advice, guidance, and analysis to enhance operational and financial performance. You will operate in a business as usual environment with a number of project areas, operating groups, and major transformational projects. With the organisation being largely people-driven, with a lot of infrastructure, the cost base is 65% EFT with supplier and complicated technology costs being about 30%. Being hands-on as well as managing a team of 4 staff, you will be responsible for monthly and quarterly accounting reports and creating budgets and forecasts for the year.
Suitable candidates will have professional work experience in FP&A, Finance & Accounting and experience preparing management, business, and regulatory required reporting. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with ERP systems experience (SAP preferred) and Business Analytics and Forecasting Tools is required. You will have experience in preparing management, business, and regulatory reporting and leading and preparing financial reviews for Executive Leadership Teams. You will be experienced at providing insights on performance, outlook, and risks & opportunities and leading & developing long-term financial plans and strategies, providing insights into future financial performance. Working in a commercial technology environment or similar would be an advantage, as well as being comfortable with change to shape the way teams work. Must be an Australian Citizen.
