Job Description - Senior Financial Accountant - $1.7bn Projects Division (260665)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager of our Projects Division, revenue approx. $1.7bn. This pivotal role involves preparing and delivering consolidated financial and management reports for the Division, which consists of six Business Units.
The role can be based out of our Brisbane, Melbourne, or North Sydney office.
About the role As Senior Financial Accountant, you will collaborate closely across 6 BU Finance and operational leads to provide analytical and business management support. Your insights will help identify risks and opportunities that may impact the Division's financial performance. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of financial reporting processes, internal controls, and compliance obligations.
As the Finance Manager's right hand, you will confidently step in to make decisions when needed. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step up into a more senior role. The ideal candidate will stand out through exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with senior management and building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities Prepare consolidated month-end reports and schedules, including Net Contract Debtors, PFC, Cashflow, and Capex, and preparation and processing of accruals, FX and other monthly journals. Oversee the P&L for the division, preparing detailed monthly reports, and monitor balance sheet positions and cash flow. Lead the month-end process, ensuring all reporting and preparation are completed within an 8-day window. Support the annual budget consolidation for all Project Division BU's. Facilitate the transition to the OneStream forecasting and budgeting system. Provide insurance consolidation and renewal information and respond to tender requests and ad hoc projects. About you CA/CPA qualified or similar. Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting, financial consolidation, and P&L management. Strong knowledge of balance sheets and cash flow.
