We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Financial Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper to join our team in Queensland.The RoleThis is a pivotal role within their firm, responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the firm's financial health and success.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management.Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.Oversee trust account management and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Prepare and analyse financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Manage payroll and superannuation obligations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.Implement and maintain effective internal controls.Skills and ExperienceProven experience in financial accounting and bookkeeping, preferably within a law firm.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.QualificationsRelevant accounting qualifications preferred (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent).
