As the Financial Accounting Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day accounting operations under the guidance of the Financial Accountant.
You'll ensure compliance with the Financial Management Act, Accounting Standards, and relevant organizational policies.
Your leadership will be critical in driving continuous improvement initiatives through effective data collection, analysis, and the use of business intelligence tools.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and contribute to organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities will include: Manage and supervise core accounting functions, including Financial Accounting and Reporting, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and Purchase Card management.Lead and mentor a high-performing team to achieve organizational goals.Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions using data analysis and business intelligence tools.What you need to succeed: Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and transaction management.Proven experience in leading and developing teams to meet and exceed targets.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using modern accounting systems and data tools.A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.A relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility or membership to a professional Accounting body, including CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).Ready to Apply?

Other Conditions and Eligibility
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance.
If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
