About the Role
As the Financial Accounting Team Leader, you will be at the helm of end-to-end financial accounting for the Australian Leisure Brand, playing a critical role in ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial operations. You'll lead the General Ledger close process, oversee monthly reporting, and support the EOFY and Half-Year audits for one of the company's most dynamic divisions.

In this role, you'll take on the following responsibilities:
Month-End Close: Lead and manage the month-end GL close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Oversee balance sheet reconciliations across the division, providing monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, including commentary and analysis.Audit Support: Support the Group Financial Reporting team during external audits, ensuring audit requirements specific to the Leisure brand are met.Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and review at-risk items to protect the business.Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency in finance workflows.Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and financial control requirements. About You
This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong technical background in ASX-listed reporting and financial control. You bring a proactive, adaptable mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Key qualities include:
ASX Reporting Experience: 5+ years of experience with ASX-listed reporting and financial accounting.Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team to meet and exceed targets.Analytical Skills: Sharp attention to detail, with a curiosity to explore and resolve complex financial issues.Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all organizational levels.Technical Expertise: Advanced Excel skills, including experience with modeling, Power Automate, and/or Power BI.Professional Certification: CA/CPA qualified (highly desirable) with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.Team Player: A collaborative approach with a commitment to supporting a positive team culture aligned with company values.
