About the Role:Airnorth are on the lookout for a Financial Accounting Manager to join our busy Finance Team. This role will require the successful candidate to travel between Perth and Darwin, to support the finance team located across the two locations. The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the GM Finance in delivering month-end management and annual statutory accounts for the Capiteq Group. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll operations and has financial oversight and responsibility for all entities within the Group.Principal Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Revenue, Payroll, AR and AP teams to ensure compliance and timely completion of tasks, including delegation of duties and other requirements;Liaison with auditors;Manage and oversee the production of all customer invoices, demonstrate credit control, including preparation of comments on weekly debtors reports and actively drive and seek optimal Days Sales Outstanding performance;Oversight of the full payroll function for the Capiteq Group including supervision of the Payroll Officer, adherence to deadlines and accurate processing of payroll related transactions;Maintain and continue to develop internal financial reporting for Airnorth consistent with internal group reporting standards;Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations;Preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements;Preparation of Statutory Reports;Maintenance of FBT accounts and records;Provide financial expertise and extensive day-to-day support to the GM Finance, and distribute reporting schedules in support of and to assist in cost and overall budgetary control;Manage the cashflow and cashflow forecasting with consideration to group cash requirements.We are looking for applicants with:A minimum of 5 years relevant or transferrable experience in financial accounting services for a medium to large company, including the management of a finance team;CPA or CA qualified;Demonstrated ability to combine initiative and analytical skills to achieve required outcomes within required timeframes;Strong numeracy and literacy skills including the ability to interpret legislation;An ability to work independently and be self-motivated;An analytical, enquiring mind able to problem solve, process improve and identify errors with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;Advanced written and verbal communication skills;The ability to communicate effectively with varied levels of personnel;Familiarity with a SOX environment;Advanced computer skills in particular MS Excel;Exposure to the Aviation Industry and/or Greentree accounting software (preferred but not essential).Why Join Airnorth?At Airnorth, we value innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
