About the Role As our new Financial Accounting Lead you will be responsible for the following:
Preparation of the annual and half year financialstatements for the EnergyAustralia Group and its relevant subsidiariesProvide commercially focused, technical accounting advice.Support the Financial Control team Centres of Excellence (Capex, Opex, Project, GM) in interpreting the accounting treatment of the more complex areas of the business in ensuring the general ledger is accurately produced.Assist in preparation of accounting judgement papers and accounting memos for the Audit and Risk Committee, the Board of Directors and CLP.Manage the process of accurate accounting and financial reporting for the company's Treasury activities including the monthly close process.Manage and coordinate the balance sheet, reconciliation process and hierarchies across Financial control for the business.Provide specialist technical accounting advice on business development activities and other projects including mergers, acquisitions and disposals.How can you support the Clean Energy Transition Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or another relevant quantitative degree (minimum requirement)Post graduate qualifications in accounting and/or finance holding current CA/CPA qualificationsStrong technical accounting advisory experience gained from MNCs or Big 4, showcasing in-depth knowledge of accounting standards. Particularly adept in areas such as leasing, derivative accounting and consolidation, with the ability to offer strategic accounting insights and simplify complex financial information for diverse audience.Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.Collaborative team player with strong leadership skills, adept at communicating confidentiality and effectively, capable of thriving with minimal supervision.Possess a high level of business acumen, adept at navigating ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations effectively.If you share our passion for a clean energy future for all and want to join us #Doing.
