STERIS is looking to hire a Financial Accountant in Australia! Reporting to the Financial Controller, ANZ, you will assist the coordination, administration, and execution of the accounting process on a monthly basis including analysis of balance sheet & profit & loss accounts. You will also perform accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and sub-ledger maintenance. Apart from daily operation, you will be identifying opportunities to improve internal controls, process flows, communication, and effectiveness of accounting area.
What You Will Do Profit and loss account analysis and review to assigned accountsBalance sheet account analysis and review to assigned accountsJournal entry creation and input through management of schedules and statementsCommunication and interaction with other business departments and foreign entitiesServe as an integral part of the monthly close process; complete balance sheet reconciliations and record journal entries as neededAnalyze data to identify inaccuracies and drive corrections to processes as neededAssist in gathering information for auditsAssist with acquisitions and mergers with financial account analysis and input entriesAssist with financial reporting requirements including footnotes.General account analysis and reconciliations on a monthly basis; corrections as necessaryCash Flow Forecasting. What You Will Bring Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Experience working in framework of monthly closing processes.Oracle experience in an international company will be an advantage.Qualified accountant, with substantial experience within a Finance team.Strong accounting and analysis skills and understanding.Analytical, thorough, detailed and able to get to the root of a problem.Proven ability for motivation, and committment, organization, and working with limited supervision.Proven ability to meet deadlines
