As we continue to grow our client base locally, regionally and nationally, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to become a trusted advisor to the Directors.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Gladstone, Queensland. A very competitive salary and relocation assistance from within Australia/NZ will be negotiated for the right candidate. Ongoing professional development, including leadership development, will be strongly encouraged and supported.
The Role: Provide direction to the finance team, overseeing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.Manage month-end accounting and management reporting.Manage tax functions of the business.Monitor budget performance throughout the year of the business as a whole and individual projects.Identify opportunities for cost optimisation.Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, external accountants, and regulatory authorities.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.Identify opportunities to drive change to improve financial systems and reporting.Qualifications & Experience: Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Member of CPA or Institute of Chartered Accountants preferred).Sound knowledge and application of Accounting Standards.Proven experience in financial accounting.Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.Advanced user of financial software and systems, MYOB Advanced preferred.Xtreme Engineering is an equal opportunity employer.
