About Us Fat Zebra is a Payments Platform which aims to simplify how merchants can accept payments online. We specialise in high-volume, real-time payments, processing for online businesses large and small.
The Opportunity  Our detail-oriented Financial Accountant will be instrumental in managing our accounting and compliance processes. This includes preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, ensuring tax compliance, overseeing merchant fund reconciliations, and supporting the business's strategic growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities •                          Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
•                          Assist in the preparation of board and management reports.
•                          Support the management of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations and adjustments.
•                          Support the preparation and lodgement of GST, PAYG and other tax obligations.
•                          Monitor and assist where required the processing of accounts payable and receivables.
•                          Oversee daily reconciliation of all merchant funds and liability accounts.
•                          Prepare audit documentation and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
•                          Assist the finance manager during the preparation of budgets, forecasts and other ad hoc analysis.
•                          Assist with other accounting projects

Experience and Qualifications •                          Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA/CA qualified
•                          Two years' experience post CPA/CA qualification
Technical Capability •                          Prior experience using NetSuite
•                          Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to learn independently.
•                          Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Amazon Quicksight
•                          Has worked in a fast paced, growth environment
•                          Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting standards.
