Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant - Permanent opportunity, close to public transport Your new company This not for profit organisation is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join its close-knit team. This role offers stability and an opportunity to learn a unique industry in a varied role. Your new role You will be interviewed for the role of Financial Accountant. Within this role your duties will include: Manage day-to-day accounting activities Manage enquiries from internal and external stakeholders Assist with month-end process: including journals, P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations, on a timely basis Assist with the preparation of the team budgets and organisation yearly budget Assist with cash flow forecasting and reporting Assist with the preparation of key organisation returns, such as: BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation, parking levy etc. Prepare the payroll processing and payroll adjustment Prepare monthly budget versus actual reports for overall organisation, different teams, and different projects Assist with the interim audit and year-end audit Maintain Asset & Inventory register Manage account enquiries with the external property management company Assist with the reconciliation of external property management company's reports Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports Implement and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures Other ad hoc tasks and projects as required What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified or nearly qualified CPA/CA Accountant with recent experience in a similar role. You will have strong Excel and reporting skills as well as being a strong communicator.
