Working closely with all teams and subsidiaries, helping to provide operational and financial support as well as group financial oversight.
You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and also interact with the General Managers of each operating subsidiary on a regular basis.
You will be based at the West Perth office with travel to subsidiary business premises on an as needs basis. They are seeking a full-time Financial Accountant, but value the importance of a healthy work/life balance and are open to discussing part-time hours if you're the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Month end reporting and reconciliation, including deadline management, project costing, analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, preparing documentation and responding to audit queries. Management of financial liabilities including lease liabilities and commercial loans.Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data and variance analysis.Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance indicators, providing insights to senior management.General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in entries and timely adjustments.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments and collections.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory tax reporting requirements.Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with new accounting standards.Other: Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting assistance i.e. WIP analysis, fixed asset management, corporate registers, PPSR registrations etc. What Makes You a Great Fit:

Education: Accounting qualifications required.Experience: Minimum 3-5 years accounting and financial reporting experience.Technical: Proficiency in accounting and business systems, experience with NetSuite ERP, or similar ERP systems, is preferred. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting standards and capable of compiling information to produce concise reports to delivery teams.Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Communication: Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information concisely.Other: A proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.
