Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and reputable organisation on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
You will play a crucial role in contributing to the financial management of the organisation, with joint responsibility for recording month-end and year-end transactions and helping to lead the team.What you'll do: Review periodic general ledger and subsidiary accounts reconciliations Oversee the maintenance of the asset register and review end of month asset reconciliations Process and reconcile month end/year end accruals and prepayments Prepare monthly corporate and divisional service charges and reconcile Assist with preparation of finance procedure documentation Provide support/cover for Finance team members, as required Monitor, review and manage staff performance Manage a small Accounts Payable team

What you bring: A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or other related discipline or equivalent experience Significant experience in an Accounting or Finance role with exposure to supervising staff Progression towards membership of a professional body such as CPA or ICAA Good knowledge and understanding of financial accounting requirements as well as some exposure to the statutory environment for year-end reporting Excellent skills in computerised accounting packages Ability to work both as part of a team and with a high level of independence and autonomy when required
