About the Role As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the preparation and accuracy of financial information for management and board reporting. This includes overseeing monthly management accounts, financial audits, group consolidations, and compliance with AASB requirements. You'll also be instrumental in enhancing business processes and supporting the wider finance team during peak periods.
What You'll Be Doing: Preparing statutory financial statements and external audit requirements.Delivering monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.Managing group consolidations and inter-company reconciliations.Ensuring compliance with all AASB requirements and preparing Business Activity Statements.Supporting the team in adopting new accounting standards and improving processes.Assisting with AP/AR accuracy and mentoring team members.Ability to work from home 1 day a week. About You: To succeed in this role, you'll need:
CPA or CA qualification (required).3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry.Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.Advanced MS Excel and accounting software expertise, ideally Apparel 21.Exceptional analytical skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.Excellent communication and time management abilities.
