Robinson, one of the world's largest logistics platforms and we're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Melbourne.
The Financial Accountant will proactively deliver accurate, relevant, and timely financial information to various stakeholders within C.H.
Robinson.
This role involves assisting with the financial reporting process, performing financial analysis, and playing a critical part in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general ledger accounts and will take ownership of assigned departmental focus areas and/or projects.

About the role: The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: Apply accounting principles and policies and stay up to date with changes.
Raise and handle complex accounting entries, ensuring adherence to group finance policies and processes, including journal preparations.
Analyze branch revenues and expenses to provide insights to branch managers & other key business stakeholders to improve on organizational financial acumen Ensure timely financial close at month and year end, direct & indirect taxes, financial audits, and tackling technical accounting tasks as required Perform intercompany reconciliations and settlements In-depth analysis of financial data, building budgets and forecasts, and leveraging business intelligence reporting Financial control and risk management to create effective mitigation plans Analyse balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents that project the organization's financial position Provide coaching and support to less experienced team members Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements About you: Required Qualifications: CA/CPA Qualified Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience Advanced Excel Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud system Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in complex large matrix finance organization Strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability for apply accurate accounting judgements and handle complex accounting entries Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives while taking accountability for work product Ability to work within a team and liaise well across departments and functions Values a diverse and inclusive work environment Disclaimer: This job description is intended to generally describe the nature and level of work to be performed by employees in this position.
