Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant Location: NSW State Government
Duration: ASAP - DEC 2024 with possibility of extension
Work Arrangement: CBD | WFH
Responsibilities:Ensuring financial controls and reporting are consistent with best practice.Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements.Advise on financial/accounting policies, processes, practices, chart of accounts, fixed assets, and financial compliance issues to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.Undertake month-end control sheets, reconciliations, and trial balances to provide management with reliable data and meet statutory requirements.Preferred Skills/Qualities:CA/CPA or equivalent.Demonstrable experience in a similar financial accounting role which includes the application and review of accounting standards.Experience with internal and external audit processes.Ability to communicate effectively and interact with stakeholders.Highly developed Microsoft Excel skills.If you are interested in this role, please APPLY today here on Seek or email me at and send me your related summary experience (coversheet) for this role.
