About the role Assist the CFO, Finance Manager and Senior Accountant with accounting duties and projects as required, including but not limited to: • Balance sheet reconciliations for New Zealand accounts every month • Reporting unreconciled and key issues • Assist with Australian taxation lodgement (payroll tax, BAS, FBT, ITR) • Liaise with external accountants to ensure taxation documents for New Zealand are accurate and lodged on time • Preparation of reconciliations • Stocktake reporting • Actual versus budget analysis • Preparation of general ledger journals • Preparation of supporting work papers and summaries • Assistance with accruals and prepayments • Cash flow updating • Banking Reconciliations • Contribute to month end and year end processes • Ad hoc duties to improve the Finance function • Assist with annual audits • Assist with preparation of supporting work papers for audits • Assist auditors with enquiries and locating information • Assist the stores with stock take and ensure stock take reports completed within the timeframe • Monthly Inventory reconciliation • Ensure reconciliations are accurate and up to date • Ensure data is entered correctly and in a timely manner • Continuously review general ledger accounts for accuracy and maintenance Skills/Qualifications required • Academic qualifications in accounting are essential.
• Study towards CPA or equivalent highly regarded • Two plus years as a graduate/assistant accountant • Retail industry experience essential preferably within the apparel sector • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills in Excel Benefits Employee discounts Celebrating work anniversaries End of month drinks and birthday celebrations.
