Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow. The role of the Financial Accountant in Australia is to support the Business Controller in managing VT Australia companies' finance book, doing finance reporting and analysis of business results, and implementing business control of the region.
He/she will also be part of the SEA GV CC finance team to do accounting and reporting and analysis of business results for the region.
Main Responsibilities Main contact person for the finance matters of VT Australia Responsible for the finance book of AVT Service company and finance reporting of VT Australia Lead the monthly closing process in MYOB, SAP, and group reporting system in the ANZ region Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial statements Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis Ensure accurate reporting by developing and utilizing analytical tools to identify and follow up anomalies Develop TSM reports for workshop efficiency and review sales margins Stock control including stock takes Ensure full compliance with all legal and corporate regulations Mitigate tax risks by highlighting any tax updates & issues in advance Coordinate tax audits, tax calculations, tax filings, and optimization (including lodgement of PAYG and GST, FBT) Support any periodic/special tax audits or queries Communicate with banks, lawyers, government, auditors, etc. Coordinate financial audits, transfer price audits, internal and external audits Prepare and analyze monthly reports for local management Provide AR Aging analysis and follow up on customer overdue Support the Business Controller in business control and all financial topics in the ANZ region Continuous improvements for all finance-related processes Other tasks assigned by the manager Knowledge & Skills Degree in Accounting and/or preferably a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) Very good knowledge of local GAAP, Tax, IFRS, and other local regulations Good accounting skills and analytical ability Experience in a full set of accounting is preferable Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; SAP/Power BI knowledge is an advantage Experience in MYOB and TSM is an advantage Personality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required A reliable, organized, and meticulous team player with a positive mindset Proactive, integrity, and quality work Take ownership and have an excellent working attitude Possess flexibility and ability to effectively perform multiple functions at a time Ability to work under pressure and still meet deadlines without making errors Keen on learning new things and continuous improvement Believe there is always a better way Experience At least 3 years of experience in accounting, especially AR, AP, GL, reporting, and Taxation Diverse by nature and inclusive by choice
