The Role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, this newly established role of Financial Accountant will manage an established Accounts Team and will allow you to flex your excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking all whilst looking for continuous improvement opportunities in cost control.
Key Responsibilities: Management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processesReconciliation of Balance Sheet AccountsProcessing of relevant EOM journalsProcess, reconciliation and payment of all business Taxation requirementsAdherence to EOM timetable requirementsManagement of daily treasury requirements and reconciliation of bank accountsOversee the Accounts Payable Approval process via ApprovalMaxOversee the various Supplier payments processOversee the administration, reconciliation and approval of business credit card processMaintenance of codes for General LedgerProvide assistance to the Financial Controller and Head of Finance with cost analysis improvement initiativesAssistance to Business with continuous improvement of cost controlImprovement of Financial processes and proceduresRequirements: Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accountingA minimum of 5 years' post qualification experienceRelevant professional qualification, including CPA, CA and/or equivalent.Proficient in using accounting software Xero, ApprovalMax applicationsExperience with financial reporting / general ledger information systems and high-level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.High accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Excel.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work to deadlines autonomously or in a team environment.High level of motivation and a desire to grow within the business.Excellent organisational and time management skillsThe Benefits: Be part of a thriving, family-owned West Australian business that's on the rise!
